We read Stone Soup by Marsha Brown as part of our letter S learning a few weeks back and followed it by making our very own stone soup. I sent Lucy out to pick out the perfect rock, wash it and put it in our pot. She impatiently waited to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The wait paid off though because our soup was tasty! She was a little disappointed when the rock didn't end up in her bowl but was excited to see that Daddy got it. She talked about this soup for weeks and still mentions it from time to time.
Another fun and impromptu activity was making sock puppets with Daddy's old socks. We drew faces expressing different feelings and even one with a tie for a Daddy Puppet. Fun Times! :)
