Handwriting without Tears (HWT) & Love Letters

If there is anything Lucy could spend hours upon hours doing is writing.  The kid loves nothing more than to make a card for anyone that will accept one.  If she is feeling something in that precious little heart of hers she is not going to keep it to herself... off she goes to pour it all on paper.

This makes her handwriting lesson a breeze.  We do formal lessons (HWT) but for practice instead of doing boring worksheets I just let her do what she does best... write love letters!  We haven't done lower case letters yet which is why everything is in capitals but I think she her letters are looking pretty good.

The picture above is of the decorations she and Jenna made (I helped with the banner) for the day Jim came back from a business trip.   Lucky guy.

Ugh... Reid hates boring worksheets! He loves any textile exercises for practicing writing, but does not like picking up a paper and pencil. Any advice??
