Behind the scenes on the 1st day of school...

SO, yesterday I gave the detailed account of how our school day went but I left out a few things that I wanted to share on a separate post.  Here is a random list of things seen/found around our home as we worked in school:

1.  You see that swing hanging from the door to our school room?  That's probably the most important piece of equipment in the room!  It's where the baby is found while I am working with the girls.  He can see us and gets excited when the girls sing our dance around.  

2.  If my calculations are right, the toddler child changed her outfit 5 times in the course of 3 hours.  Two of the outfits were bathing suits... let the record state there were no swimming plans in the horizon.  Allowing the outfit changes (which are normally banned) gave me some one-on-one time with Lucy when we needed to go over some things.
