We kicked off spring with a trip to a strawberry farm. It had been raining earlier that week so we were all eager to get out of the house and do something fun. The farm did not disappoint!
The property owner gave the kids a really good explanation of their operation. He managed to keep everyone's attention with his interesting facts.
I had a feeling this particular field trip would be a challenge with the 2 little ones and all the bending and squatting that has to happen to pick the fruit.
I didn't anticipate they would be content sitting as long as they could eat strawberries.
I'll spare you the details on what happened as a result of the amount of strawberries they ate. Let's just say their bodies were not used to it.
Lucy went off with a friend and picked on her own. This is her and Chloe in the distance.
What you don't see in this picture is all the mud at the bottom of the beds. It made for a fun picking experience.
Before we left, we told the kids they could go at it with the mud and GO they did. Lots of squeals and giggles!
